Dentures

As we grow older, our gums, teeth, and jaw may become more fragile, resulting in the loss of a few permanent teeth. Physical trauma, gum disease, and tooth decay can also lead to adult tooth loss. Thankfully, dentures provide a comfortable solution.

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose, weak, or have fallen out of the mouth. When bone loss around the roots of the teeth results in loose teeth or even tooth loss, it’s time for dentures.

What to Expect from your Denture Appointments

During your first denture visit, we will examine your mouth and determine which teeth are no longer in good health. The next step is an extraction appointment, where we can remove the teeth that are threatening your healthy smile or causing any discomfort. We ensure that your extraction is stress-free by offering local anesthesia and sedation dentistry. Afterward, your dentures are fitted to go over or around whatever teeth remain in the mouth. There is an adjustment period once the dentures are placed, but you will soon be able to speak, chew, and smile with ease. The dentists are here to help with any adjustments you may need.

Types of Dentures

Partial Dentures | Partial dentures are anchored to dental implants or healthy teeth. They are well-suited for patients who are not yet missing all of their natural teeth.

Full Dentures | Full dentures replace a complete arch of upper or lower teeth. They can form a seal with the gums to stay in place.

Dental Implant Dentures | Dental implants can further stabilize your partial or full dentures. Dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone, and they serve as secure anchors for dentures.

Are you ready to smile with confidence again? We can provide you with dentures that are customized to meet your preferences.
