Hello, I’m Dr. Andrew Chappell. I’m a husband, father of two girls, avid skier, and owner of Jordan Landing Dental Care. (I’m also an exceptionally average croquet player)
My path to dentistry was a bit unusual.
My grandpa that I was very close with was a dentist. I always respected him and thought it would be great to follow in his footsteps but dentistry seemed like something that was reserved for the really smart, naturally talented, and gifted people. (I’m not one of those people)
An average high school student, I served a mission and then decided to go to college. A few years (and several major changes later), I graduated with a University Studies Degree from BYU- Idaho in 2011. Having successfully worked as a sales manager during college, I kept at it after graduating.
But then in 2012, I had a mid-twenties crisis.
I looked into all the career paths I could think of and couldn’t decide what to do. That’s when my wife looked at me and asked one simple question…
“What would you want to do if there were no barriers and you could do anything you wanted?”
My answer… be a dentist.
Despite my less-than-stellar academic performance up to that point, I now realized that it came down to a matter of will. A few years later with near a near 4.0 GPA and and solid score on the DAT, I got accepted to my dream school (one of the best schools in the country) at University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
I share my story with you because it shows that I’m not your dime-a-dozen dentist. Because I see things differently, I also approach dentistry in a different way. Giving away a Free Electric Toothbrush is another example of that.

It’s a great question. Here’s two reasons why I’m doing this…
First, my whole mission is to help create confident smiles for my patients. And in order to do that, your teeth need to first be clean, healthy, and strong. You simply can’t show off a smile that’s dotted with decay or yellowish plaque spots all over it.
But, if I can get closer to that goal of creating a confident smile…with the simple step of gifting you this electric toothbrush…then I’m halfway there. I had to get 2 cavities removed and let me just say Dr. Chappell was amazing! He made sure I was comfortable and let me decide if I wanted the numbing shot. I didn’t get it and he told me if it hurt to let him know and we can do the shot. Dealing with dental insurance is about as much fun as getting bitten over and over again by a colony of raging red ants. So we try and remove as much of that burden off of you as possible.

Convenience
Fitting in a dentist appointment isn’t always as simple as it sounds. With all the other commitments you have – work, kids, keeping up with celebrity feuds – finding a convenient time for your appointment is challenging. But it just got easier…
We have adjusted our hours each Wednesday to better accommodate those that require an appointment first thing in the morning (starting at 8am) or right after work, school, or practice (closing at 7pm).
You can schedule by calling our office directly, sending a text message, or via email – whatever is easiest for you.
No Pressure and No Judgment.
The last thing I’ll say is about how you will feel in our office. Our whole focus is on building long-term relationships with our patients. I’m not here to pressure you into treatment that you are not ready for, or make you feel guilty in order to force your hand. (Because if I did do that, I wouldn’t have patients coming back again and again)
